AQUA CHALCEDONY BLISS

A magical stone that glows like the shallows off the greenish blue ocean on a white sand beach! This is one of my absolute favorite gemstones and in this collection I have picked out some of my best selling Aqua Chalcedony pieces. I just love combining these stones with some shells or pearls coupled up with some fine 24K gold wire. It’s such a beautiful and elegant combination!

Blue Chalcedony is a demure crystal, subtle and mystic, cool and serene, ethereal yet solid. It has an inviting, calming, soft blue translucence, and an almost imperceptible movement within the stone that invokes a stillness of silent reverence.

Chalcedony is a member of the Quartz family with a cryptocrystalline structure. It’s name may be derived from the Greek port city of Chalcedon. The ancient civilizations of Egypt, Greece and Rome used varieties of Chalcedony in jewelry and carvings, and, as gemstone of antiquity, they were believed to imbue their holders with certain powers.

Chalcedony was considered a sacred stone by the Native American Indians, using it to promote stability during their ceremonial activities. It is still in use today for meditations by some. As a stone of peace and peace-making, Blue Chalcedony is believed to encourage stillness and calm in the home for those at odds with one another.
